This is a fast way to make a simple (but tasty!) Texas chili
(Serves 2)
Ingredients:
1 can of diced or stewed tomatoes depending on personal preference
1 can Ranch style beans
1 pound lean minced beef
1 large bag of corn tortilla chips (preferably Fritos brand)
Chili powder, salt & pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions:
Add beef to a deep saucepan and heat over a stove at medium to high
Use a wooden spoon to break down the beef into granules as it thaws and cooks
When the beef is browned and granulated, pour in the can of beans and tomatoes, mix, and let simmer
Add salt and pepper and a generous amount of chili powder to taste
Mix continuously just until boil.
Remove from heat and let cool as it will be very hot!
Serve in 2 bowls with corn chips on top. Enjoy!
