Abstract In the area of Sport and Exercise

Abstract In the area of Sport and Exercise Psychology the psychological skills training of an athlete may lead to an overall improvement of their performance. Items such as stress and anxiety levels must be looked at in order to create a program that will help an athlete become aware of their surroundings and abilities and how they can affect their overall talent both on and off of the field. To be a good athlete one must also be a good student. Through various models and theories one may be able to explore an area of the mind, alter the situations that control that area and thereby change the level of stress or anxiety experienced by the athlete.
